Our high school got a grant to fund a dual enrollment program for high school Juniors and Seniors. When my daughter enters the 11th grade, she will be taking college courses in Nursing. She has the opportunity to graduate from high school with an RN behind her name!

She plans to use her 10th grade year to play basketball and run track. The next two years after that will be tough, but I know she can do it. She's free to take online classes, or go to the campus. We're so excited! All credits are transferable to any 4-year University in the State of Alabama. Tuition and books are paid. Any college credits she lacks upon high school graduation are covered at 50%.

She realizes what a great opportunity has just landed in her lap. Her hard work and attendance at school are paying off for her. I'm so proud, I just had to brag a little. She's such an awesome young lady! I pinch myself to make sure she's really mine. All the crap I put up with to get her into this world was sooooo worth the effort.

The best part for me is that she is looking forward to a future. A future!!! Imagine that!!

    That sounds really great.

Nursing is an excellent field to be in.

    Dinah, that's great!

Not only is your baby beautiful, but smart, too.

I started a thread about my baby's latest accomplishment: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/174492/1/Daughter-Being-Inducted-Into-Beta-Gamma-Sigma

I'm so proud of and happy for both of them.

Give her a and a from Auntie Sylvia.

Congrats to you and your daughter! The nursing field is booming and when she tires of one area in nursing she can always move on. Try to get her to go for her Masters while she's young. Once she has that the doors are always open!
